Giving thanks for creativity - Day 4

So today I spent the afternoon with a great friend.  She is helping me to decorate my bathroom (and boy do I need the help).  Well, we had a girls day where we shopped and shopped until we were finally at our wits end.  We spent what seemed like hours in the store talking about ideas, looking at people's handiwork and admiring the things available to us to make such cool living spaces.

My sweet baby girl came along and she decided the best part of the day was looking at the rugs as she proceeded to climb the mountains of them and slide from one to the next the way a child would climb the big playground slide and then yell "wheeeeee" all the way to the bottom.

I love the fact that when a child entertains themselves without the use of electronics, that their imaginations take them away into very distant lands where carpets become mountains and dragons breath fire, and the princess sings and hums all day long in spite of the "dangers" around her. We walked through the store and she just continued to find things to add to her new found imaginary world.

It was precious.  It was creative.  We were shopping for ideas and creativity to transform a room, and in the process, she found a way to pass the time creatively and transformed a whole world - by using her imagination.

Thank you God for the gift of creativity and thank you for friends with talents beyond mine that will be able to help me transform the space you have provided called home.
