...take a little note... The the Lord said to Moses, "Write this on a scroll as something to be remembered and make sure that Joshua hears it, because I will completely blot out the name of Amalek from under heaven." (Exodus 17:14)
It is interesting to me that The Lord is the one who tells us to write things down and He says so for a reason. He doesn't ask - He commands - us to do it. Not because He needs us to but so that we can be reminded of what He has promised, what He has already done for us and sometimes what He WILL do for us in the future.
I am trying to get better at this by keeping His special "kisses from heaven" in my journal. Not only do I not want to forget what He has said, but when the enemy comes to kill, steal and destroy my hope and joy - I will have a record of His words to use as a weapon in that attack not just my own.
God is so cool to watch out for us and to provide us with such great instructions - even simple ones like "write this down".
