Tomorrow Never Comes

It sounds like a Bond movie I know, but have you ever noticed how many times you say or think, "I will do that tomorrow", "I will talk to them tomorrow" or just anything "tomorrow"?

We all live busy lives.  We have a great deal of responsibility between work and family.  But that doesn't change the fact that this is the only life we get.  Maybe it is because I am older now, but I realize just how quickly time passes.  Maybe it is because I have already lost friends long before their time on earth should have been through.  Or maybe it is just God's blessing on me to weigh the cost of this life and the time I have here to love others and be loved.  (I hope it is the last one!)

Sorry Annie, but unlike the song you sing, the reality is, we are not promised a tomorrow - let alone a sunny one.

We are not given the chance to know exactly when we will have used all of our time here on earth. So quite frankly, that means we need to treat every minute with the precious care it deserves.

Say what you mean.

Love like this is the last time you will ever get the chance to.

Never leave a loved ones presence without telling them you love them. You might not have a tomorrow. Or worse yet, they might not.

Be thankful every morning that you awake and ask God what He wants you to do today.

You make a difference in the lives of those around you -   "It's a wonderful life" applies not only to George Bailey, but to you as well.

You have something amazing to share with someone you will come in contact with today.

Your life has purpose.

You are someone else's hope.

You are the delight of God...the apple of His eye.

And always remember, today is a gift, a present to open.  Use it wisely and do not waste it.  Tomorrow NEVER comes.
