Relationships - Worth it or Not?

Ok, so relationships are amazing! They are full of ups and downs, good and bad, excitement and turmoil. So why do we put ourselves through them?

Easy!

We were made for them. God wanted us to need and be needed by others, so we would learn the intricacies of intimacy.

Not Easy!

Extremely hard in fact. Often painful. Terrifying. Troubling.

But a Requirement!

God said it was not good for man to be alone. Now that doesn't mean you HAVE to get married, but it does mean that God intends for us to love and be loved by others. In fact, the greatest commandments included this fact.

So how do we do it?

We try.
We fail.
Try harder.
Fail harder...

...and look for all the fun and humor, still finding the sorrow and tears along the way. Knowing full well, that when it is hard, He is holding us through it, collecting our tears and hugging us to tell us it is going to be alright.

And when it is good, He is smiling right along with us!

So in the end - I vote "Worth It!"
